I'm most impressed by this printer. Connected it to my router using network cable & gave it a static IP address. Without having to install any drivers or even search for the printer, it was automatically detected by both my wife's Windows 11 laptop and my Linux pc.

Machine is great for the money, when it works. Wi-fi setup is a pain on the little screen. It periodically forgets it's already set up on the network, requiring annoying and time wasting fiddling. About every 12-18 months, it will just stop working on wi-fi and require a factory reset.

Fairly easy to set up, and good to use. Only issue I have is that the toner is already light. But I love Brother printers. The best.

Compact printer, scanner and copier. It works well and prints fast enough for home use. The display unit is not very user friendly but once you understand it, it is easy to use. This printer is more noisy than my previous Samsung printer but I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Bought this printer back in 2015 and it's still going strong. It does everything my wife & I need for our home office. Beyond replacing the toner, it's been very hands off. While I can't necessarily recommend THIS specific printer given it's 8+ yrs old, I have no qualms recommending the Brother...

I have had the DCPL2540DW for years and I still use it to print and scan. Brother has updates and drivers on their website so I am able to print from laptops and iPhones, if they are all on the same wifi network. It is very convenient to print from any laptop on the network.

I have had this printer for just over 5 years now and I like it a lot. It works well. The only issue I have with it is for the first time I tried to print labels. Every time it would jam. I tried feeding from the hopper as well as individual sheets.
